Hi, trying to P2V a win 7, when starting VM getting BSOD - STOP: 0x0000007B (0x80786B50,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000).
Converted "powered-on machine" from the local machine.
v5.0.0 build 470252 of standalone converter
(I tried v5.1 but got an error of "unable to obtain hardware information", so dropped down versions of converter)
- wrote the new VM to a separate SATA disk attached to local machine
- tried to start the VM using vmware workstation - v9.0.2 build-1031769 (although the converter's highest destination version is workstation 8)
- during conversion set the "disk controller" to IDE
Attached are vmware.log and .vmx files
I know that STOP 0x0000007B is well worn territory and I've googled and tried everything I've found over the last couple of days. I must be missing something elemental but just don't see it. I'm Pretty frustrated at this point, and could use a helping hand. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jay
